Name: Jerusalem Breed: American Pitbull Age: Six Years Gender: Male Image: Salem
Appearance: Salem has the classic barrel-shape of the American Pitbull, his musclulature very pronounced and obvious beneath his sleek coat. He has a stout, wide stance and a low body, a body built for fighting. His head is wide and square, with a broad muzzle full of long, sharp fangs. His jaw is powerful enough to crush, and once he bites down, the jaw hinge locks until his target stops moving. His hide is thick, tough, and covered in short, fine hair, charcoal grey, with a huge white splash across his chest. His ears are floppy and short, his tail long and thin.
Personality: It's in Jerusalem's nature to fight; he's extremely aggressive and enjoys a good fight. He hates to lose, and it's rare for an opponent to walk away from a fight alive. He isn't inclined to follow someone else; he's in charge or no one is. He's uninterested in things like friendships or romances; he's just not inclined to get close to anyone. Females are for breeding, and that's pretty much it. He has no genuine interest in pups, but wants as many offspring as he can make, to carry on his line. For this reason, only strong, intelligent females could possibly hope to have anything to do with Jerusalem. Despite his anti-social nature and hot temper, Salem is actually pretty decent leader; as long as your one of his followers, he'll look out for you.
History: Salem is one of many pitbulls owned by the Night Watchman, whose job it was to keep an eye out for trouble while everyone in town was asleep. He was the son of two of the Watchman's dogs, two particularly mean ones. He had three litter brothers, and several brothers and sisters from other litters and other fathers. His mother was an exceptionally fine dog, strong, intelligent, and rather lovely. Salem grew up in the guardsmen trade, spending his nights prowling the streets and the grounds around the town, alert for trouble. Disputes between the dogs were fairly common, what with very little trouble coming around, the fighting dogs would sometimes turn on each other, and their human would be forced to break up the fights with a long, hard stick. When the army came all those years ago, Jerusalem and his fellows joyfully joined in the fighting, but even with the pitbulls fighting for the town, the King's Army won, having greater numbers and more skill. Several of Salem's kin were killed, including his mother, who was shot in the face. Other: N/A
